On Friday, August 22nd, we had dinner at Big Time Pizza in Hot Springs, South Dakota. This popular, homey spot has been serving quality pizza for 27 years and is well known for its classic pizzas, subs, salads, espresso drinks, beer, and wine.
The ordering process is simple—you place your order at the counter, and the staff brings it to your table when it’s ready. We chose to sit outside on their deck, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our pizza took about 20 minutes to arrive, which felt just right for freshly made.
We ordered the Supreme Pizza (without olives), and it was excellent. The sauce had a perfect balance—not too sweet—and the crust was wonderfully flaky. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of Italian seasoning. You could taste the powdered Parmesan and smell the delicious herbs baked into every bite.
Big Time Pizza prides itself on using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it shows in both flavor and presentation. With plenty of seating, family-friendly options (including high chairs), and a welcoming small-town vibe, it’s a great choice whether you’re a local or just passing through.
